Project Engineer

Chad Brears recently joined CoolIT as a Project Engineer with the Solutions Architecture and Services team! Chad is enjoying getting to dive into the entire scope of a project from the implementation of our products to solution design, and all the way through installation and commissioning of a system. He will be an integral team member for ensuring efficiency in all aspects of the commercial and technical requirements of CoolIT’s liquid cooling deployments.

After graduating from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Mechanical Engineering degree, Chad went down an exciting career path and chose to pursue professional hockey. He played a year in the SPHL for the Columbus Cottonmouths in the US. During his second season he received the opportunity to play in a professional league in Belgium for the HYC Herentals. Following this stint, he focused on his educational experience and took a field engineering position with Chevron, working as a Field Drilling Engineer. At his time with Chevron, he gained significant experience coordinating/facilitating drilling programs from the rig site.

Chad continues to be an active sports enthusiast with some of his favorite hobbies being snowboarding, hockey, and hiking, and loves to eat at Chipotle every chance he gets!

Chad’s unique life experiences, skills in maintenance activities, project coordination, and quality assurance will have a significant impact on the successful solutions built for CoolIT partners. Welcome Chad! We are excited to have you on the team.
