Questions about Vantage 6 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
1st, is the Vantage shipping?
2nd, I am trying to get a system to fit my new case and my new mother board. The case is not too much of a problem but the Motherboard (Evga 132-BL-E758-A1) is. There is a VR heat pipe assembly between the socket and the fan that sticks up a little, so I need to know the thickness of the Rad. Then I have to know how far the rad on the Vantage protrudes above the fan because of a MoBo tray bracket. As there is no picture of the Vantage I am including three of the MoBo and tray, socket, and rear fan. I do know the Corsair H50 fits but the Vantage is my preferred choice. I would like to put in a Elite but the pictures of the unit are not helpful at all. Anyways if you can determine if one or both would fit I would really appreciate it.

drakon,

Thank you for your interest in our product. Our Vantage ALC units should be shipping to our head office in about one month if everything goes as scheduled. The Vantage ALC fits inside the CPU socket, we have had issues with EVGA mother boards in the past but our new product has fit on all the EVGA boards that we have in house, it would be very difficult for me to find out exactly which ones we have tested our unit on, so I don’t think it should be a problem with your motherboard. However if you buy the unit from us and it won’t fit I will return it for you. Thank you for choosing our product. Installing a Freezone Elite is possible however it may take some modification; meaning you will have to most likely cut down on the heat piping over the moss fetts. The Vantage ALC should fit without any hassle. However the Freezone Elite would allow you to achieve a higher overclock with better temperatures. The Vantage ALC is really cool though with the Maestro software pack because you can software control the unit and it comes with 9 LED lights that you change the color of. Pretty rad.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping the Vantage was available now to get working on a new build that is using parts from my gaming computer. So I have been down loading pictures from the reviews of the Elite. I think that the Elite should fit in the new case and motherboard except for the Mosfet cooling assembly. Also do you agree that it will miss the Northbridge fan and assembly?

So if I was to purchase a cooling block from Koolance for the Mosfets on the Evga board and send it to you, would it be possible for you to plumb the block into the Elite system? I could supply you with measurements from cpu centre to centre of the block as well as from edge to edge if needed. I know that this will degrade the performance of the Elite system but I wouldn’t think it would be too much or should I say hope.

I think this would make a real killer of a system with my 5970, and my Level 10 case. It would be a first for Coolit Systems.

Thanking you in advance for your help and opinions.

drakon,

You are welcome.

The Elite should fit on your board save the moss fetts, it should clear the north bridge. I am sorry to tell you but we do not do custom work any longer so I am unable to have a Freezone Elite plumbed up to a moss fett water block for you. It may be a good idea for you to water cool your moss fetts, and if you are going to you may want to pick up a motherboard water block for your motherboard that would include the north and south bridge as well. I could sell you norprene tubing, coolant, crimp clamps and a radiator. This is just an idea. I wish I could be of more help.

Sorry for the delay and thanks for your suggestions on water cooling. Unfortunately as I mentioned I have a Thermaltake Level 10 case (www.ttlevel10.com). Although it is the most expensive case on the market (only real stupid people would buy it) it is NOT water cooling friendly at all. But since I am retired from HP service I am sure the Elite will fit with a few minor mods and is one of the few WC systems that have a chance of fitting. In fact I am so sure I have ordered a Freezone Elite from NCIX. Sorry Vantage did not work out as it would have been a fun product to play with.

Thanks for your suggestions and help. I may be back with Freezone questions.
