I recently built a new workstation ay my new job and am using the Coolit Pure CPU cooler on a Q6700 Quad Core clocked at 3 GHz. it has cooled great this whole time and for the first few days it was really quiet as well. Ever since starting it up today, the cooler (sounds like it is coming from the pump) is m aking a very irritating rattling noise. Other than this rattle the case is silent. Is there a way to reduce this rattling? It is driving me nuts... I built this case to be SILENT and this cooler is far from it!

Sorry to hear about your pure being so noisy. Unfortunately there is not much that I can do to advise you on how to repair it. It sounds like the pump needs to be swapped out for a new one since its making that rattle.

Best thing that I can advise is to try and have it exchanged by the place of purchase. generally if you just purchased it you will be eligible for an exchange as most online retailers and even stores will replace it for you over the counter if you tell them it is defective.

If this is not possible, I would then recommend you to RMA the unit and we will send you a new replacement.

My pump will too make a buzzing or rattling sound from time to time. I've found that if I tap on the pump a couple or three times, it will stop. It sounds like the impeller is getting out of place or something and causing the noise.

I started to hear some rattling about a week ago, and now it happens much more often. I taped the pump as EliteUser did and the sounds goes away. Is my pump in danger of dieing? should i RMA it? The taping always seems to work, but the rattling will come back in enough time.
