Firmware will not update 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Just recieved second Boreas and have not been able to update firmware. Using Win7 64 bit atm, but had no luck in XP 32 as well. Tried another controller but no go. What do I need to do?

I think I put this in you other thread.

Download and install Mtec Control Center v1.55 here.
www.coolitsystems.com/index.php/support/...tware/54-mcc-v1.html
Install that.

Download Mtec control center firmware v2.04 here.
www.coolitsystems.com/index.php/support/...mcc-firmware-v2.html

Install and follow these directions.
Steps
=====
1. Make sure your MTECâ„¢ Control Module is plugged into your power supply.
2. Make sure the USB cable is connected from your system to the MTECâ„¢ Control
Module.
3. In your Start Menu under MTEC Control Center, run the Firmware Update tool.
4. Click the Browse button in Step 1 and find the hid.bin file from this package.
5. Now click Update Firmware and follow the directions in the update program.

Should run after this.

Make sure the USB plug is plugged in correctly.

Yes, have downloaded and installed all latest versions. When I hit reset button the lights go out on the controller and fans go to 100% for about 5 seconds...then all quits and both lights go red. The updater never starts, just continues to run saying awaiting user to hit reset button. Have uninstalled/reinstalled several times to no avail. Controller is wired identical to other unit and have tried reversing usb connection as well. Thanks

Uninstalled and used your links. Have hit reset but nothing yet. I will let it run for awhile and then try reset again.
